Hanging of the Greens is UNM's oldest student tradition and is one of the largest luminaria displays in the area. Join us beginning at 5:45 p.m. at the UNM Bookstore. Lights from 14,000 luminarias will cast a spell across campus for one of UNM's oldest traditions. The festivities begin outside the UNM Bookstore with hot chocolate, biscochitos and caroling. The caroling route will first make its way to University House, where UNM students will present the official wreath to President Robert Frank and his wife, Janet, and will continue on to Hodgin Hall Alumni Center for the President’s reception and a holiday lighting of The U.
The community is invited and attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped children's book to place under the tree at Hodgin Hall. Books will be donated to UNM Children's Hospital. For more information, call (505) 277-5808.
Join us for food, wine, and music as we welcome 2015 UNM grads to the Young Alumni Association. Door prizes include a drawing for a UNM Diploma Frame for a 2015 grad! Each new grad attending will receive a special gift from the Young Alumni Chapter. Wine will be served only to those 21 and over. ID's will be checked. This event is a friendly way to become acquainted with other alumni and become a part of the group.
